ABOUT THE ARTIST
Pam Glennie is a Contemporary Scottish Artist and Textile Designer based in the Outer Hebrides.
Vivid reimagined coastal artworks, highly saturated colours and gestural marks have become her signature style.
Pam was born on the scenic west coast of Scotland and is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art.
Encouraging and artistic parents and an early career in design, forged a love of colour, whilst her individual style of painting developed naturally over time with experience.
Inspired by the colour and light of the Scottish Islands, Pam relocated with her husband to the Isle of Lewis in 2020,
to a small coastal village perched on the Northern tip of the Outer Hebrides,
It is here that she is able to focus on painting the vast windswept beaches, coastal machair and fleeting clouds.
Pam's work extends to both Fine Art and Textile Design..
Solvent Free Oil Paintings
Pastel Paintings
Colourful, painterly and textural effects on natural and sustainable fine fabrics.
Influenced by the strong colourist tradition in Scottish and French Painting, a fresh modern approach is favoured, one which respects traditional drawing and painting methods, whilst offering something new and completely individual.
Recognition was gained at Paisley Art Institute where the Small Painting Prize was awarded in Pam's first year of selection.
